Capsicum can be easily grown in a pot at home by organic methods.

The thing about capsicum in the plate of food is something else. It makes your every recipe special. Everybody likes it. From potato-capsicum vegetables to continental dishes like pasta, pizza, capsicum is widely used. Capsicum, rich in Vitamin A and C, is also an immunity booster. Today we are going to tell you how you can grow this evergreen vegetable in your home.

What are the requirements:

Seeds, pots, potting mix, etc.

How to grow:

You don't need to buy capsicum seeds from outside. You can grow plants at home from the seeds of capsicum that you are buying from the market. There are two ways to grow seeds which she is sharing with all of us today.

First way:

You cut the capsicum into two parts.

  • You will see the seeds on the top, take out some of these seeds, and put them inside the capsicum itself.
  • Now fill the capsicum with soil and plant it in a pot prepared with a potting mix of about 8 to 10 inches.
  • Cover it by adding more soil from above.
  • Give water only as per the need.

Water should always be given as per the need because too much water can be harmful to plants. You can check the moisture in the soil with your finger.

One special thing that has to be kept in mind is that you have to initially keep this pot in a place where the sunlight does not fall directly. Keep the pot in a place where there is light sunlight.

In about a week, when the seeds start sprouting and the plants start coming, you can keep the pot in the sun on the balcony or terrace.

As the plant grows, it will first flower and then it will have capsicum. This whole process takes about one and a half to two months.

Another way:

What is needed: Two tissue papers, a box, seeds, pot, etc.

Another way to grow capsicum is also very easy. Apart from capsicum, you can also use it with tomatoes, etc. For this you have to cut capsicum and remove its seeds.

Now place a tissue paper in the box and spray a little water on it.

After spraying water, place the seeds in it and cover it with another tissue paper and then spray.

You have to close this box with a lid.

In about a week, the seed will germinate and become a plant, and now you can transplant it into a pot.

To protect capsicum plants from pest attack,  “The best way is to sprinkle soap or dishwashing water on the plants or you can also spray neem oil. You can spray this once a week.

Along with this, it is also important for the plants to get the right nutrition. “I often put onion-banana peels, rice water, and other organic kitchen waste on the plants. Sometimes, I mix milk in water also. The ingredients present in these ensure that the plants get proper nutrition,” he added.

And that one plant gives you 4 to 5 capsicum at a time. Apart from capsicum,

So what's the delay, you can also grow capsicum at home and make your food more delicious.
